By Ally Wied
Cheese basket is a bowl basket made of cheese where you can put additional dish on top of it. It's the food, not the real basket. Cheese basket can be filled with pasta, risotto or salad. Anything as you like it, the cheese basket will add cheesy flavor with unique food presentation.
Cheese basket is made from grated cheese that's been heat on the non-sticking frying pan and then when the edges begin to brown, it was put on a cup or bowl to make the basket like shape. Use the not overly moisture kind of cheese to make cheese basket. Mozzarella, Jack, and Fontina are not recommended. About 65grams of grated cheese can be made into couple of handful cheese basket.
Here is the simple step of making cheese basket:
1. Prepare the grated cheese, no stick frying pan diameter 22cm, Teflon tongs, and cup or bowl to lay the cheese over.
2. Heat the skillet for 2-3 minutes then use your hand to sprinkle the grated cheese over it.
3. After the edge of cheese is beginning to tan, separate it a little from the skillet.
4. Tip the skillet and put the cheese over a cup to make the form of a basket. The brown side on the upper side.
Fill your cheese basket with risotto if you want to eat rice or Caesar salad for a lighter calories snack.
If you consider making cheese basket is not easy, try to make
cheese curd snack which is as yummy as cheese basket.
